Mess Up The Mess has developed a wide range of theatre workshops and training programmes for a diverse client group from young people exploring theatre to build confidence, make friends and socialise to those committed to a life within the performing arts.
MUTM are skilled at working in a diverse range of settings from schools and colleges to youth centres and Youth Offending Team Units. We will work with you to establish aims and objectives that are individual to the group whether that be curriculum based or around the needs of particular young people.
MUTM are also keen to provide theatre sessions as a tool for those that work with young people from teachers to social workers and seek interested parties to develop this work further.
The world of the performing arts can be a minefield to access particularly for young people from socially or economically excluded backgrounds but with backing from Arts Council England and Creative Academy Slough MUTM has been piloting traineeships to address these barriers.
